“When you  milk there will always be meat”

If a cow is not able to be in calf they are being slaughtered. Dairy cows have moved a lot and with the right duration of maturing you very flavorful meat. 

The male calf are often given away to other feedfarms. The influence on the animals ends when they leave the farm. Some are kept on the farm and fed till the age of 8 month and either sold in the farm shop or to local restaurants. 

We also the “Husumer Protestschwein” – a very old variety of pigs being home in our region for many years now and fed with our sweet whey and left over feed.

Since 2016 we have a small herd of black angus mother cows. In the coming years we hope to see this herd growing and pasturing on our fields to provide top quality meat for us and all who fancy it.
